Support team development days

The Support Managers have been out and about in recent months as they visited suppliers for part of their team meetings.  The Northern team visited Birtwistle’s Butchers; the Midlands team spent the day learning about chicken with Love Joe’s; and our Southern team went along to Vegetarian Express.

At Olive, we value the partnerships we have with our suppliers and believe it’s important to mirror each other’s values.

Birtwistle’s Butchers have a wealth of experience in the industry dating back over 100 years as a family butcher shop.  They shared the history of the family-owned business and hosted a factory tour for our team.

Love Joes believe that Sustainability isn’t just about the environment.  Their belief is that it’s about the people they serve and the communities they build.  Our team were able to share this vision for sustainable future within the poultry sector.

Vegetarian express, as their name suggests, are on a mission to fill your plate with plant-based goodness.  Our team experienced a live cooking demonstration with the vegetarian specialist supplier’s Chef and were presented with a selection of newly sourced ingredients to integrate into Olive’s new menus.

In addition to the supplier visits, the focus of each day was Olive’s Guaranteed Standards and the importance of using it as framework to maintain the best possible food offer for our customers.  Our Support team members play a key part in delivering these standards as an additional support for every contract and the success of their team meetings is testament to the importance of this function.
