Olive is delighted to have received the THREE STAR FOOD MADE GOOD SUSTAINABILITY AWARD by the Sustainable Restaurant Association. The SRA, led by its President, Raymond Blanc OBE, looks to accelerate a sustainable future for the hospitality industry.
To gain accreditation, the SRA assessed key areas within Olive that impact sustainability under Sourcing, Society and Environment. The assessment saw that the Ethical Olive Framework supported and aligned with each area and demonstrated a clear path towards their Net Zero goal of 2035.
The accreditation scores business performance with stars. Scores over 50% put businesses among the leaders in the hospitality industry as a Food Made Good business. Becoming a Food Made Good business is an achievement in itself and through the star system they award those that go even further, with three being the highest accolade. Olive are the only independant contract caterer in the UK to achieve three stars.
“To achieve three stars on our first assessment is a great achievement. We’re especially proud to have scored 90% within the ‘Treat Staff Fairly’ impact area. A fantastic way to commemorate our 20th year!” says Olive’s Co-Founder, Sally-Ann Bradley.
